BRADES, Montserrat – Foreign Secretary, The Rt Hon. William Hague MP told the leaders of the Overseas Territories last week that they remain a priority for the UK Government. Montserrat’s Premier Hon. Reuben T. Meade led a delegation to attend the Overseas Territories Consultative Council (OTCC) on 23-24 November 2011 in London.
Hague was speaking at the opening of the OTCC, which brings together the Premiers, Chief Ministers and other elected representatives from Britain’s Overseas Territories.
“My Ministerial team in the FCO and my colleagues across other Government departments will work tirelessly to ensure that our partnership promotes the best interest of all our citizens and a bright and successful future for the Overseas Territories,” the foreign secretary said. BRADES, Montserrat – Premier the Hon. Reuben T. Meade and his team are presently in the UK attending the Pre-OTCC and OTCC sessions with the UK Government.
Premier Meade is accompanied by Financial Secretary Hon. John Skerritt, Attorney General Hon. Esco Henry, and Cabinet Secretary Mrs. Angela Greenaway. His Excellency, The Governor Adrian Davis is also participating in the two-day Overseas Territories Consultative Council which begins on Wednesday at Lancaster House. BRADES, Montserrat –Chief Minister, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade is in Washington, D.C. this week to attend and participate in the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The chief minister was invited to attend as he presently serves as Chairman of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) Monetary Council.

BRADES, Montserrat – The Hon. John Skerritt, Financial Secretary for the Government of Montserrat this month assumes chairmanship of the Regional Debt Coordination Committee (RDCC).
The RDCC was established by the Eastern Caribbean Currency Council on the 25th of October 1996 to facilitate the development and be responsible for the oversight of the operations of an integrated Regional Government Securities Market. This, the RDCC is to accomplish through harmonising the objectives, policies, procedures and rules, which seek to promote the efficient functioning of the market and enhance the overall debt management capabilities of the respective governments.
