BRADES, Montserrat – Montserrat is about to host its second high-level visit of UK officials this year. Minister of State Alan Duncan is expected on island Wednesday for briefings on the island and the potential for economic development and self-sustainability.
Duncan will be accompanied by Ian McKendry, DFID Deputy Director for Caribbean & Overseas Territories; Jonny Baxter, Private Secretary to the Minister and Joy Hutcheon, Director General.
The Minister of State is to travel to Montserrat by Ferry on Wednesday evening along with Premier, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade and Access Coordinator Vincent Hippolyte. During the ride, they are to discuss a proposed access strategy for the island.
