Montserrat’s investment climate was a major talking point Friday during a visit here by Sheik Marwan Alqamzi of the United Arab Emirates.
Government officials, the Montserrat Development Corporation (MDC) and potential investors from the UAE were engaged in the discussion.
The meeting was set up after initial discussions among Premier, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade, Alex Hourani of Cool and Smooth, and subsequently George Georges, the Managing Director of Technical Architects Company of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Mr. Hourani said his discussions with Premier Meade surrounded the government leader’s passion for Montserrat’s development at all levels.
Meantime, Sheik Alqamzi says having looked at the existing Master Plan, there are various elements which can be considered.
However, he singled out the port project as the key component of interest for them in the Master Plan.
