sundayThe Fundraising subcommittee of the Montserrat Festival Committee hosted the first “Sunday Fundays” on Sunday 2nd February 2014 and it was dubbed a huge success.

Sunday Fundays is a beach oriented family event carded for the first Sunday of every month.

The turnout on Sunday was a good one and the crowd was enthusiastic about the next event, with some even suggesting that once a month is not enough. Several hundred people patronized the event which ended around 9PM.

As promised, there was food and drinks, as well as different activities for the family. For the nature lovers who like a little bit of adventure, there were snorkeling sessions with Events Coordinator, Veta Wade.

Chicken and hot dogs were on the barbeque grill, the bar was well stocked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, while the kids enjoyed fresh popcorn and cotton candy. Music on the day was provided by Tribe Star Sound alongside DJ Tyrone and DJ Charmer.

After sunset, the crowd rocked to the sounds of the live band which included Deverson ‘Coozy’ Semper, Vincent ‘Centy’ Johnson, Vaughn ‘Waxxa’ Fenton, Garnet ‘Sylk’ Thompson, Brian ‘ Icultural’ Charles, and Tomeika Jeffery-Fenton.
