Montserratians Charged With Cocaine Possession In Antigua

Antiguan Authorities have formally charged two Montserratian females with possession of cocaine. This was disclosed in a Press Release from the Office of Strategic Communications in the Royal Antigua and Barbuda Police Force.

21 year old U.S. born Ashley Warner and 19 year old Serene Leonard both of Montserrat were jointly charged for Possession of 5 ¼ lbs of Cocaine, Possession with intent to Transfer; Attempting to Export; Being concerned in the supplying of Cocaine and Conspiracy.

Warner was intercepted at the V.C Bird International Airport after she allegedly attempted to board a Virgin Atlantic flight to England last Saturday.

Her accomplice Leonard was later picked up boarding the ferry back to Montserrat.

They both appeared before the Magistrates Court on Thursday and are remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until Monday January 6th

On Monday they will be brought back to Court.

Warner and Leonard have both secured legal representatives, namely, Lawyer Stedroy ‘Cutie’ Benjamin and Michael Archibald.
