Two books written by Sir Howard Fergus will be released here soon.

The works entitled, “FESTIVAL AT FIFTY” and “Obama and Other Poems” will be released at the National Trust in Salem on Wednesday August 29.

The 145-page edition of “FESTIVAL AT FIFTY” includes a Foreword by Premier, the Honourable Reuben Meade.

“Obama and Other Poems” which will be released at the same time with brief readings, is published in Jamaica by Arawak Publishers.  The book honours the US President Barack Obama, who is up for re-election in November this year.

The event which promises to be a grand literary and cultural occasion will also see the release of a reprint of an autobiography called “Road From Long Ground”.

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus and the Montserrat National Trust will host the event which starts at 5:00pm next Wednesday.
