Leader of the Opposition Donaldson Romeo says he’ll take the Government to task on several critical issues.
He says among them is a decision to remove Montserrat from the UN list of non-self-governing territories and the introduction of a new import tax structure that has resulted in price increases on some food items.
The Premier had said that the new tariff structure was introduced on June 1st to simply the import tax rates.
On the issue of self determination he stated that the people of Montserrat have decided to continue as an overseas territory of the UK and do not see themselves as being a colony.
Mister Romeo says the Government needs to relook the position taken on these two issues.
