BRADES, Montserrat – The Antigua & Barbuda Police Band are scheduled to be on island Thursday in preparation for Saturday’s parade in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The band last performed at a parade in 2009 and they are expected to give a concert following the formal segment of the morning event.
All of the uniformed bodies on Montserrat, including the Royal Montserrat Police Service, Royal Montserrat Defense Force, Girl Guides, and Red Cross are expected to participate in the event expected to start at 8:30am at Salem Park.
Also expected to be in attendance is the Deputy Governor General of Antigua & Barbuda Sir Eustace Francis, along with local dignataries.
Monday June 18 has been declared a public holiday in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the reception will be held on Thursday, June 21 at Government House, Woodlands.
