2011 Calypso Monarch in Antigua Keithroy De Bear Morson

Veteran Calypsonian “De Bear” will make his first appearance on Montserrat next month since capturing the monarch in Antigua.

De Bear will perform at the Montserrat Cultural Centre on September 3rd at a Sir Howard Fergus Scholarship Fund fundraising activity.

The concert is being organised to assist the fund with raising monies for its education programs.

The Sir Howard Fergus Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit organization established to promote academic and technical excellence to discerning applicants particularly in the arts.

It also aims to promote the Montserrat spirit to enhance our drive for self reliance and to strengthen the Montserrat network.

Performing alongside Bear would be Atsumi Canny, Ann Marie Dewar and Shirley Spycalla.

Bear’s travel to and from Antigua is sponsored by fly Montserrat.
